By Red Ransom, the champion sire of 95 stakes winners including Australian Group 1 winners Typhoon Tracy, Charge Forward, All American, Duporth, Onemorenomore and Red Dazzler. Launching his career in electrifying fashion, this precocious son of champion sire, Red Ransom, won his first three starts as an early two-year-old. He then travelled to Sydney to be narrowly beaten in race-record time in the Skyline Stakes. After receiving the visitors draw (16 of 16) in the Golden Slipper, Face Value still managed to be the first colt home after sitting three and four deep.
