Henry Surtees FATAL Formula 2 crash INCIDENTE MORTALE HENRY SURTEES YouTube [00:42]
The entire accident only took a few seconds -- from the car's flipping, to the explosion, to the driver running out of the car screaming and on fire -- but it was still one of the funniest things the fans had ever seen. "Oh, man. That was awesome," said Richard Jensen. "This was the first time I've been to a funny car race, but if they are all this good, I'll be back again. Hi-larious. It's rare these days for something to be understated in its title."Jon Heller, the driver whose car exploded, was happy to entertain the crowd."It's always hard to hear the laughter when the flames are roaring all around you," said Heller. "But once the bandages are removed from over my ears upon completion of the skin grafts, I will listen to the tapes."

Trainer's Past Overshadows I'll Have Another's Glory [01:07]
I'll Have Another may be only one race from immortality, but his spotlight is being overshadowed by his trainer's Doug O'Neill's past. O'Neill has had numerous drug issues with his horses and is currently suspended in California. Len Berman explains why this shouldn't deter from I'll Have Another's greatness leading into the Belmont Stakes and the possible Triple Crown.

Preakness (2012) - "I'll Have Another" Wins BUT is Scratched from the Belmont... Tendonitis... :-( I'll Have Another's chance at horse-racing immortality ended when the winner of the Preakness and Kentucky Derby was scratched from the Belmont Stakes after developing tendonitis in his left front leg. The 2012 Preakness Stakes was the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes. The race took place on May 19, 2012, and was televised in the United States on the NBC television network. The post time was 6.20 pm EDT (10:20 pm UTC). I'll Have Another won the second leg of the Triple Crown, narrowly defeating Bodemeister in a last-furlong push. A record crowd of 121309 was in attendance. I'll Have Another became the 33rd horse to win the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes double. The Preakness Stakes is an American flat Thoroughbred horse race held on the third Saturday in May each year at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. It is a Grade I race run over a distance of 9.5 furlongs on dirt. Colts and geldings carry 126 pounds (57 kg); fillies 121 lb (55 kg). Belmont Triple Crown Preview: I'll Have Another Has Injury-Free Week of Training [02:15]
We're just one week away from I'll Have Another's shot at horse racing immortality. The Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner nearly experienced the same unfortunate fate of Big Brown, the last horse to have a shot at the Triple Crown, when he nearly collided with a loose horse during a Thursday training session. Thankfully though nothing came of the scary event and I'll Have Another -- for now -- remains healthy.
