Secretariat - The Meadow Monster [01:24]
Another video of the mighty Secretariat! In the first two racing clips you can clearly see this horse's big, powerful stride eating up the turf. His jockey, Ron Turcotte, once said Secretariat was an even better runner on the grass, after he won the Man o' War Stakes. He also said Secretariat's action was so smooth he didn't always know how fast he was going. I'll probably re do this later with more of a variety of clips, sorry it's sort of boring I just really badly wanted to post this. All clips are from the past weekend, I was busy all week/weekend with family dinners and Beverley had previously had 3? days off so she was just super stoked to be out and about! She gets a large grass field to herself but doesn't really do much playing out there, just stands and eats, so as soon as she is let loose in the arena she goes nuts! I seriously love this horse SO much. Beyond happy to have her in my life. She's seriously going to be with me for life, she's not going anywhere ;) I love free lunging her, like I honestly just can't take my eyes off her movement. gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. I honestly don't care what any body says about her, I've heard so much crap over the past year about how she's "dangerous", "not worth it", "will never be anything". I don't believe any of that. This mare proves those people wrong every single day, she is so amazing and will only get better.

The dam line of Van Gogh originates at the mare Miesje. In addition to Van Gogh's successful full sisters, this breeding family produced several international showjumping and dressage horses. The vice champion of the 2007 KWPN stallion competition achieved great results during several competitions in both Germany and the Netherlands.
