This was the day's final race, a marathon test of endurance for these 10 horses. It's an unusual distance because few horses ever have cause to race this far, & few are bred to relish it. The conditions were track fast and dry, favouring speed horses, with partial sun and high humidity, with a temperature of 28 degrees. The video picks up well into the race, during which the runners crossed the finish line a rtotal of 3 times, around the 5/8 mile oval in Vancouver.

2011 AQHA World Champion Cold Cash 123 established himself as the top older Quarter Horse runner in the country with his win in the grade one Remington Park Championship G1 on May 26. T Bill Stables, Inc's 4-year-old went the 440 yards in 21.267 seconds, while running 3/4 of a length in front of JLS Mr Bigtime. Llano Teller finished third. Trained by Sleepy Gilbreath, Cold Cash 123 was ridden by Roy Baldillez.

I stripped my old Iron Horse Warrior frame and trimmed the seat tube and then repainted it light green, bought a few parts and put it back together again. Still need to get a few things, rides really well except the brakes are woeful, will get some Shimano hydros soon. Also due to get a purple 36 chainring so can use new MRP chainguide (this is with 40T and temp Mr Dirt block - first chainguide ever made - still working perfectly nearly 20 yrs later) and a purple stem and maybe seatpost too, not layback like this one.
