2005 Polla de Potrillos-Uruguayan Two Thousand Guineas - Invasor [01:44]
Invasor won the first leg of the Uruguayan Triple Crown, the one mile Gran Premio Polla de Potrillos run on September 10, by 5¾ lengths under heavy rain on a muddy track. One month later, on October 9, he won the 2000 m (1¼ mile) Gran Premio Jockey Club by 3½ lengths, and completed the sweep winning the Gran Premio Nacional by 6½ lengths. In all three races, the horse Potri Flash came second. With this sweep, Invasor became a favorite of the public, and a favorite to win Uruguay's most important race, the championship Gran Premio Internacional José Pedro Ramírez, run every January 6 in Maroñas. His total earnings for taking the Triple Crown amounted to $113866. Invasor was sold after winning the Uruguayan Triple Crown to Sheik Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who paid, around US $1400000 to have the horse run for Shadwell Stable.

Under Heat Devin started in the rear, it was really muddy.....He went to pull a tearoff, but it was hung up on the bracket...He tried to find it going down the backstretch...finally found it in the middle of 3 and 4...The two cars were wrecked in front of him...He tried to mash the gas and turn the car didn't work, so he tried to hit the brake and he slid into them..messed up his radiator, fan, nose piece, bumper..When he came in he had about 2 to 3 inches of mud hanging on to his helmet..and that was only in the 36 seconds he ran...I went ahead and taped the feature...Kevin Durden one of his sponsors...This race was a bad one so I thank God so much for Devin running into those cars and keeping him safe...2 cars flip on the back stretch...It seemed everyone I recorded this night left on a hook...Sorry guys :(

With the muddy track conditions, Dale took this opportunity to get WWN in tight company and also set behind her workmate to take mud in her face as a great learning tool. She handled it all professionally.

Tampa Bay Downs Horse in Pond 2. Front Angle. [26:50]
Full Front angle video of horse cooling himself down after suffering heat stroke. The pond is about 4 feet deep. the bottom is very muddy and thick. The horse had trouble getting his footing within the thick mud. The horse is fine and suffered no injuries.
