Wes (3).3gp [01:14]
Katie Bornholdt-Peery with the handsome and charming Wes. This horse has excellent movement coupled with intelligent curiosity. He obviously trusts Katie as this is his first free jumping exercise and with ALL the exciting things happening in the pasture next door, he is AMAZING me.

Ghostzapper vs. Saint Liam - 2004 Woodward (G1) [02:11]
In winning six of his first eight career starts, Stronach Stable's Ghostzapper always had breathing room. Okay, there was that one race he won by a half-length, but other margins of his victories ranged from four and quarter to 10 and three-quarter lengths. He was obviously a good horse, but no one was really sure how tough he was. Saturday afternoon, 10251 Belmont Park fans got their answer. Sent off as the 2-5 post-time favorite, Ghostzapper dug in under jockey Javier Castellano after being forced to the middle of the track by Saint Liam, endured bumping and still managed to win the 51st running of the Grade 1, $500000 Woodward fro three-year-olds and up at nine furlongs -- the Opening Weekend feature of Belmont Park's Fall Championship Meet. Not only Ghostzapper he win in spite of not having everything go his way, his winning time of 1:46 1/5 rivaled that of Mineshaft last year and In Excess in the 1991 Woodward. Only Forego, who won the 1976 Woodward in 1:45 4/5 carrying 135 pounds, Dispersal, who carried 123 and won the 1990 Woodward in 1:45 4/5; and Precisionist, who won the 1986 Woodward in 1:46, have run this race faster. Precisionist, Mineshaft and Ghostzapper all carried 126 pounds in their Woodwards.

2012: The Olympic Year [02:38]
A short introduction into 2012 involving footage of Great Britain's top event riders at various events throughout 2010/2011. These riders/horses are not necessarily in the Olympic team, (it hasn't been selected yet) and obviously some riders and horses are not in here as well. Riders and horses are Mary King (Imperial Cavalier and Apache Sauce), William Fox-Pitt (Cool Mountain and Navigator), Piggy French (Jakata) and Nicola Wilson (Opposition Buzz). Note that Cool Mountain is out of contention as he has injured a tendon, and Mary is not aiming Apache Sauce for the Olympics. I own all the videos, I do not own the music. Enjoy!

OTTB - Roger's Story [04:09]
Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favour of fair use. Hey everyone! As promised, here is Roger's video time-line. It starts back in Feb of this year (2011) when we had the first ride. This was after we'd had him for a month or so. We got him as a scraggly 7 year old, head to toe in rain scald, and three days out from ending up at the market, and lord only knows if he was to end up as dog meat :( So my good friend Georgie rescued him, we bought him together and started all the hard work. She did hours upon hours of groundwork, and I did the ridden work. He was completely green, had no steering whatsoever , but we could both see he had unbelievable potential, so we gave him a go. Little by little he improved, obviously there was a lot more that we did with him then what's in the video, but we started to get him round, canter leads, and get him jumping. WHAT A JUMP he had on him, my god! I have never been on a horse with such a ping, and not only was he fun to ride, but he was safe as well, having never refused the whole time we had him. We took him out to adult rider's club, a dressage show, and more jumping days than you can poke a stick at and started to have a lot of fun with him ...
