Racing on the inside towards the back of the pack as Get Stormy led the field through a half-mile in 48.45 and three-quarters in 1:12.45, Turallure advanced around the far turn and swung wide into the stretch. Closing rapidly down the outside of the course, Turallure put away the stubborn pacesetter and drew away to win by 2 ¼ lengths. The winner was clocked in 1:48.75 for 1 1/8 miles over turf rated "good."
