A wild ride [00:58]
The hide race begins with a mounted rider pulling a cow hide attached to a long length of rope. Horse and rider sprint across the arena to a standing teammate who then tries to grab the rope and jump on the hide as quickly and smoothly as possible. Then the event becomes a mad dash for the finish line as the dragged member of the team clings to the hide. While certainly exciting and possessing the potential for some spectacular wipe-outs, the hide races are simply a warm-up for what may be the most dangerous event at the Centennial Round-Up, throwback or not.

This girl won last year's round up in barrel racing. this is the finals on saturday. her time was 28.89.

Women's Race 2011 part 2 [02:42]
This is after the race. So I think what happend is after the race a few girls couldn't control their horses to stop them. One girl turned around and hit an on coming horse and rider. and a guy tried to stop them but got trampled. I know at least one girl was take to the hospital for a broken neck. The news paper said that one hore had a pintched nerve but it looked more like 2 broken front legs.

Women's Race 2011 Part 1 [00:43]
This is the Women's Indian Race at the Pendleton Round Up. Shortly after I stopped filming3 people were, 2 people were taken to the hospital, and 2 horses were badly injured. they say one has a pintched nerve but it looked more like both front legs were broken. I not sure what happend but I think one girl turned her horse around to try and stop it but hit another rider. One of the girls did get a broken neck. you can see them being taken away in my part 2 video.
