Inside Information (foaled May 23, 1991 in Kentucky) is an American Hall of Fame and Champion Thoroughbred filly racehorse. She was a homebred owned by Ogden Mills Phipps and trained by Hall of Fame trainer "Shug" mcgaughey. Inside Information had an outstanding race record of 14 wins in 17 starts. Among her accomplishments was winning the Acorn Stakes (Grade 1) at Belmont Park, the Ashland Stakes at Keeneland Race Course, the Molly Pitcher Handicap at Monmouth Park, the Ruffian Handicap (Grade 1), the Spinster Stakes (Grade 1). The most impressive of all of her laurels was winning the 1995 Breeders' Cup Distaff (Grade 1) at Belmont Park by a Breeders' Cup record margin of victory of over 13 lengths.

Ogden Phipps's Dancing Spree, the trailer through the first half-mile, closed with a rush for a two-length victory yesterday in the $228800 Carter Handicap for 3-year-olds and up at Aqueduct. Dancing Pretense was second in the seven-horse field, a neck ahead of Sewickley. Mr. Nickerson and Dr. Carrington dueled for command through the first half, setting fast fractions of 21 2/5 and 43 4/5. Black Tie Affair, Mr. Nickerson, Once Wild and Dr. Carrington followed the first three to the wire. Dancing Spree, with Chris Antley up, covered the seven furlongs in 1:22 and earned $137280.
