PA HarnessWeek Episode #175 (Nov. 10, 2012) [29:03]
Fifty shades of gray? Pocono celebrated more shades than that as they celebrated Halloween with the annual Gray Ghost & Poltergeist Pace...we've got the recap. Kelly chats with trainer and driver Joe Pavia Jr about his long career, how the sport has changed over the years and his thoughts on yet another successful season. We also head to Indiana Downs for the Indiana Pacing Derby, won by Foiled Again with Yannick Gingas in the bike, as well as Tim Tetrick's win in the Oliver Trotting Classic with Upfront Billy. Sharla catches up with Tim about his drive in the big race as well as his thoughts on a horse to watch, Mr Hasani M, quite possibly one of the sport's stars of tomorrow. Plus wins from Tom Jackson with Keystone Velocity, Tyler Buter with Woodstock Hanover, Mitchell Walker with Rush N Supreme, Matt Kakaley with Dodger Hanover, Ron Pierce with That's Justice and more.

[FLASHBACK] Channel Nine - Live Sydney Horse Racing - Opener & Closer (1987) [01:17]
Proof that just about anything can be found on old VHS recordings. Very interesting to say the least how Nine's famous cricket theme was used for an intro to a John Tapp racing call at Rosehill! Because I'm not trying to infringe copyright/I'm not here to let you watch the race, I've only included the Opener & Closer. ©1987-2012 Nine Network for the intro, and possibly Sky Channel/Racing or TVN for the racing footage.

I'll Have Another Tribute [02:54]
I made this for two reasons: 1. to honor what I believe is the best three-year-old in several years. 2. I was bored and had a ton of pictures and a good song. I'll be honest. his retirement today has me really bummed. I've been a fan of this horse since March and watching him come so far has been thrilling. he's such a talented animal and I'm so disappointed that he won't have the chance to make a run in the Belmont. I really thought he was "the horse" and that thirty four years was plenty long. but, you know, that's the game. everything can be perfect one minute and the next, something like this happens. I'm glad they put the horse's welfare first. I admit, it's such a sad day for racing because there was a promise of so much more- especially his rivalry with Bodemiester. but I suppose if you want everything to always go right, you're in the wrong profession. these things happen. yes it's sad, but it could have been worse. I'll Have Another's team prevented a possibly worse injury on live national television. kudos to them, and kudos to I'll Have Another. it was fun. /end serious time. enjoy the pictures. the song is Ain't No Rest For The Wicked by Cage The Elephant

Daddy's Nose.mp4 [01:56]
6. DADDY NOSE BEST (Julien Leparoux, 3-1) Owner: Mary and Robert Zollars. Trainer: Steven Asmussen. Lifetime Record: 9-3-2-1, $233623. Daddy Nose Best scored an important win in the Grade 3 El Camino Real Derby atGolden Gate over the synthetic Tapeta course and earned an impressive 92 Beyer figure. Steve Asmussen, the nation's leading trainer of 2011, has carefully directed the career of the Scat Daddy colt for a run at the Sunland Derby (Gr. III) and possibly the Kentucky Derby. Primarily campaigned over the turf as a two-year-old in 2011, Daddy Nose Best was stakes placed in the Grade 3 Summer Stakes at Woodbine and ran sixth out of fourteen runners in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Churchill Downs. With such a strong resume, Daddy Nose Best looms large and should relish the 1 and 1/8 mile distance of the Sunland Derby. Owners Mary and Robert Zollars are highly successful in racing and won the 2011 Borderland Derby with Fusa Code. Two-time Eclipse winning rider Julien Leparoux is his rider.
