Horses warming up on backstretch for 2012 Kentucky Derby (including I'll Have Another) [01:59]
Horses in the 2012 Kentucky Derby warm up on the backstretch near the second turn at Churchill Downs, just before the race. The last horse, #19 (jockey in white silks with a purple band across) is the eventual winner, I'll Have Another. This was filmed through the window of the track kitchen, which was a little dirty, but an excellent spot to see horses up close and relax in air conditioning after walking around in the heat all day.

I stripped my old Iron Horse Warrior frame and trimmed the seat tube and then repainted it light green, bought a few parts and put it back together again. Still need to get a few things, rides really well except the brakes are woeful, will get some Shimano hydros soon. Also due to get a purple 36 chainring so can use new MRP chainguide (this is with 40T and temp Mr Dirt block - first chainguide ever made - still working perfectly nearly 20 yrs later) and a purple stem and maybe seatpost too, not layback like this one. At the Welsh National; trainer Nick Williams had a winner in Alfie Spinner and suggests he may be aimed at the Welsh National next year. Nick has had a purple patch recently with Zaynar winning at Ascot before Xmas and a number of other winners of late. For Non Stop may be one to watch for too... Eliza follows Nick Williams horses. She used to model at the Royal Acdemy and Hesketh Hubbard (Mall Gallleries) and the London Sketch club; and Nick has some original paintings of her; so Eliza naturally began following his horses and has done rather well betting on them over the last two seasons!!
