Telling demonstrated his affinity for Saratoga Race Course on Saturday by rallying along the inside to win the Grade 1, $500000 Sword Dancer Invitational for the second straight year. Deftly ridden by Garrett Gomez, Telling received a clear trip as he raced in midpack behind fractions of 48.27 and 1:13.23. Asked to pick it up on the far turn, the 6-year-old split two opponents at the head of the lane, cut back inside for his stretch run, and outkicked Bearpath to register a 1 ½-length victory.
