Barrel Racing in Versatility [00:54]
So here's the deal: it had just poured rain for nearly an hour, and the arena was disgusting. My horse LOVES the mud, but I wasn't going to just run him and risk an accident, quite a few other people had already scratched. We ended up getting 5th in the barrel racing part of the class (which consists of barrel racing, western pleasure, english pleasure and reining) :D

Nestor and His Black Stallion [00:47]
So this is Nestor, a ranch hand at my barn! He is riding his 9 year old Quarter Horse stallion, Lightning. I think this is their first time doing barrels! I had to teach him the patterns! They do reining... that's why their turns/stops are amazing and just for the record, he says that he is not a cowboy, he is a charro... he doesn't enjoy being called a cowboy. We taught his nephew, Carlos, all of the patterns but we don't have any video of that.... Sorry the video quality is bad.. My friend filmed it on her phone.. (Thank her for this video!) Lightning is GORGEOUS in person.. he looks like one of those QH you would see on the cover of a magazine!

"GCC Streaking Cash" [00:45]
"GCC Streaking Cash" AKA Cash is a reg two year old filly sired by "Gold Cash Card." I have had this filly for about four months now. . . We have consistantly been working on our whoa, backing, guiding, taking the correct leads and most importantly ground work. Cash just began the barrel pattern a week ago today and here is how she is progressing!
