Here are races 7-11 from the April 15, 2001 (Easter Sunday) card at Hialeah Park. Frank Mirahmadi hosts the replay show and calls the races. The featured race was the $75000 Seminole Handicap, won by Fappie's Notebook with Abdiel Toribio for trainer Emanuel Tortora. Marge and Irving Cowan owned the 4-year-old homebred, who earned his first stakes victory in the Seminole and would go on to win the 2001 Smile Sprint Handicap and 2002 Grade 3 Deputy Minster Handicap. Other highlights include an advertisement for Fantasy Lane Stable and the winning (via disqualification) debut of What a Price.

Here's a special treat for you: a full episode the Racing Report from Hialeah Park, covering the races held on April 15, 2001. This card, which was from the final year of racing at Hialeah before competition returned to the glorious venue in late 2009, was held Easter Sunday and featured the $75000 Seminole Handicap. Frank Mirahmadi called the races and hosted the show. This video, the first of two, shows races 1-6 on the 11-race card. Highlights from part 1 include commercials for the 2001 OBS April sale and Team Valor, as well Mirahmadi imitating Trevor Denman in race 3 and Marv Albert, Luke Kruytbosch, Rodney Dangerfield, and Dave Johnson in race 5.

Horse racing oddity: horse running the wrong way [04:50]
Things became very scary at Louisiana Downs on September 4, 2011, when Secretfly unseated his rider at the start of the ninth race. Thankfully no horse or rider was hurt. The head-on replay follows at 2:40, and offers a much better look at what happened. Following a stewards inquiry, the race was declared a no contest and all wagers were refunded. Travis Stone is the announcer.
