We hadn't practiced any of the games with her horses AT ALL, let alone Annie had barely been ridden all summer. It was a fun event , and good feeling to come home with 2 ribbons from the 6 adult western games we competed in! Games featured in video: (our warm up) , Keyhole, pole bending, relay race, pick up race.

Saratoga All Access: Fabulous Fillies Day at Saratoga Race Course to benefit BCRF [03:50]
NYRA celebrated women and their contributions to the thoroughbred industry while raising funds to support BCRF at Fabulous Fillies Day at Saratoga Race Course. All fans who wore pink received free admission. The centerpiece of the day-long affair was the Sizzling Hot Pink Saratoga Hat Luncheon to benefit BCRF in the At the Rail Pavilion. This year's luncheon was in memory of BCRF Founder and Chairman Evelyn H. Lauder and honored thoroughbred owner and breeder Virginia Kraft Payson. The event was emceed by Jeannine Edwards from ESPN. The day featured a number of special events and activities designed to honor women of the thoroughbred industry while raising funds to support BCRF. The day's card featured an all-filly racing program in concert with the day's theme. Pink bunting, ribbons and flowers adorned the track, including a pink flower blanket on the horse statue in the Paddock. The first 1000 women (ages 16 and older) through the admission gates received a cubic zirconia and were directed to bring their stones to one of two representatives from Northeastern Fine Jewelry on track to determine if they were the recipient of a genuine diamond. Kathy Hulbert of Oak Hill, NY received a genuine diamond that qualified her to select from one of three Hearts on Fire diamond pendants valued at up to $7000, courtesy of Northeastern Fine Jewelry, during a special winner's circle presentation. Additionally, women were treated to pink hair extensions and pink polish from Complexions ...

My mare Cheyanne Alaska competing in the Parker Trail Riders July 21st Gymkhana. It was above 100 at some points throughout the competition and so I am proud that she was able to work through this heat and compete. We got many ribbons! :)
