Handicapping & betting the 2011 Preakness is a tough task but interesting. 14 3 yr olds vying for the $1 Million purse as the Triple Crown series continues. The favorite #11 Animal kingdom won the Kentucky Derby & is a major player here. I like him a lot, & #3 King Congie who continues to improve, & #6 Sway Away who'll be flying late.

2011 Preakness Handicapping Part 2: revised forecast [09:07]
on further reflection, doing more reading, studying, & watching race replays, I'm still backing the 11, Animal Kingdom, but have adjusted my other picks. The 3, King Congie is interesting but probably better as an exotics play. I have to be afraid of Dialled In, in a race where the pace projects to be quicker than the Derby was, which will aid his late run. Other major players besides the chalks? I like Astrology, midnight Interlude, & Mr Commons a lot, but my other main key horse is the 6, Sway Away. He's very dangerous, along with Mucho Macho Man. The only ones to throw out are 2 & 12. Hope this helps.
