The Cheltenham Gold Cup of 1990 was all about Desert Orchid but a 100/1 outsider by the name of Norton's Coin stole Dessie's thunder on the day to assure his place in steeplechasing history. Jockey Graham McCourt rode Norton's Coin on the day and the nine year old horse was trained and owned by Sirrel Griffiths.
