On March 26-27, 2011 Golden's Kicking Horse Mountain Resort hosted arguably the best ski mountaineering race in North America - the Dogtooh Dash. The event was also Canadian National Championship race and the top prizes went to Reiner Thoni, Andrew McNab and Ian Gale for men. And to Melanie Bernier, Julie Matteau and Billie Velisek in women's category.
