Featuring: Patriotic songs by Renaissance vocal group; Lugoff-Elgin High School Colonial Color Guard; renaming of race course to "Camp Springdale" for the day in honor of our military, Official Swearing In Ceremony of US Army recruits by MG James Milano, Commanding General of Ft Jackson; presentation of first annual MG Baron de Kalb service award (accepted by award winning broadcast journalist and author Rita Cosby in honor of her father Richard Cosby, WWII hero of the Polish Resistance); Carolina Skydiving Team jumping the course with giant American flags; Armed Forces Salute by Renaissance vocal group; National Anthem sung by Tomaczek Bednarek.
