AP Indy - 1992 Horse Of The Year [02:37]
AP Indy, who was voted North America's best 3-year-old colt earlier this week, stood at the brink of racing's ultimate honor tonight as the overwhelming favorite to be named Horse of the Year. The colt was back at the Lane's End Farm in Kentucky awaiting his new career as a stallion. But his owners had already converged on Los Angeles from as far away as Tokyo for the climactic moment at the Eclipse Awards dinner. And to racing people across the country, it was considered a sure bet that the name inside the sealed envelope would be AP Indy. AP Indy carries an imperial pedigree: son of Seattle Slew, grandson of Secretariat, both previous winners of the Horse of the Year award and many others. Tsurumaki named his colt AP Indy for a leisure park and auto-racing center he owns in Japan. The horse lived up to his notices by winning 8 of his 11 starts in two seasons of racing, including the Santa Anita Derby, the Belmont Stakes, the Peter Pan and the Breeders' Cup Classic. "He has been a courageous horse who did everything we asked," Farish said. "It would have been exciting to keep him racing. But he had nothing to prove to anybody."

Racehorse Filly by Bel Danoro from Regina [06:55]
Bel Danoro is a young Group Stakes winning son of the mighty Danehill, and so impressed were we with the progeny of Bel Danoro that we purchased three of them, as we believe this young stallion possesses all of the attributes necessary to become a sire of Champions. Bel Danoro has retired to Vinery Stud, one of the most successful multi million dollar studs in Australia, which in itself says a great deal about what the Australian bloodstock Industry believes the future of these Bel Danoros to be, as only the very elite of stallions stand at the great Vinery stud. There is no greater way to success at a sensible price than by buying into the progeny of well performed and superbly related first season stallions, as if their progeny fulfil their potential on the racetrack, the price of subsequent yearling by those stallions simply skyrocket. This filly was reared at the prestigious Baramul Stud, owned by Gerry Harvey of Harvey Norm retail fame, so we know that this filly has received the best of everything from the time she was born, she is a September and just have a look at her size, she will certainly have the jump on many of her rivals in the forth coming 2YO races.
