Curlin - The 2YO's [04:05]
Classy. Elegant. Balanced. Forward. Athletic. Just some of the superlatives being used to describe the first crop by two-time Horse of the Year CURLIN. Breeders, buyers, and trainers all agree; CURLIN is the best bet for 2012. With the two-year-old season in full swing, CURLIN youngsters are the talk of the town. In case you aren't convinced, we shot some footage of his two-year-olds in training to give you taste of what is to come.

Rachel Alexandra and her colt's first steps! [00:35]
Rachel Alexandra, 2009 Horse of the Year, gave birth yesterday to a 125 pound colt by 2007 and 2008 Horse of the Year, Curlin who stands at Lane's End Farm. The bay colt was born at 2:40 pm on Stonestreet Farm near Lexington, Kentucky. He took his first steps an hour and an half later. Emblazoned with a white star, the alert colt bears a striking resemblance to his mother. Stonestreet Farm manager Gary Megibben reports all is well with both mare and foal and that, "Rachel is a natural mother, and took to the colt immediately." This is 2009 HOY winner Rachel Alexandra's first foal and is to be bred to Bernardini in 2012. I DO NOT OWN THIS VIDEO! ALL RIGHTS GO TO STONESTREET FARM!

My Miss Aurelia - 2011 Frizette (G1) [01:52]
My Miss Aurelia set a fast, contested pace and drew off in the stretch to register a 5 ½-length victory in the Grade 1, $300000 Frizette for 2-year-old fillies, respectively giving jockey Corey Nakatani and trainer Steve Asmussen their sixth and fourth victories on Saturday's card at Belmont Park. Nakatani became the third jockey in Belmont Park history to win six races on a single card, matching the feats achieved by Jorge Velasquez in 1981 and Ramon Dominguez on June 5 during this year's spring-summer meet. It was the 17th time a jockey has won six races on a single card on The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) circuit. In the Frizette, My Miss Aurelia rushed up from post position 1 to grab the lead from Spare Change, setting pressured fractions of 22.64 and 46.02. Nakatani took a confident look back following three-quarters in 1:10.38, and My Miss Aurelia ran away from her rivals in the stretch as runner-up Stopshoppingmaria gave vain chase in second. My Miss Aurelia completed one mile in 1:35.22, returned $6.50 for a $2 win wager as the 2-1 second choice, and earned a guaranteed berth in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on November 4 at Churchill Downs, with the Frizette having been designated a Breeders' Cup Challenge "Win and You're In" race.
