LITTLE VALLEY extreme cowboy judged trail race [05:08]
This is Harley's first and my third extreme cowboy race. It was extremely fun and we had a great time camping with Barb and Emily Swanson. This is race #1 of the Little Valley Rider's Club in Little Valley, NY; The Enchanted Mountains. They only placed 1-3 and we didn't place. I WAS very pleased with Harley. He listened well and enjoyed himself. We know what we need to work on for course #2 coming up in June.

In this session I'm teaching Felisha the Send Through exercise. Horses are naturally claustraphopic to tight places places. Its an inborn instinct to keep them safe from predators. This exercise helps them gain confidence and will help you teach a horse to load in that scarry horse eating trailer. You start this exercise 20 feet or so from the rail and slowly move closer as your horse gains confidence until you are about 4 feet from the rail. Its important that your horse has learned to give you 2 eyes before you do this exercise.

Rachel Alexandra vs Zenyatta - Clash of the Titans [01:30]
Im aware that it is the wrong time for such a video, because their match up in April wont happen, but i was in desperate search for a topic for a really short video - since i wanted to make some size experiments - and this was the only one coming to my mind at the moment. Maybe one day we will see them clash. Btw, named RA first in the title simply because she is reigning Horse of the Year. So, nothing special about the video, but maybe about the music. I used the music from the Clash of the Titans Trailer, but it is of course not the exact same music as in the trailer (since the dialog and the fighting noises would interrupt). I used some parts of the original 3 and a half minutes long instrumental version of The Bird and the Worm from The Used and edited them in a way that it sounds similar to the Trailer version. Some parts are different though (especially in the end). And sadly, the quality is not the same as in the original trailer (the music there sounds a lot heavier). A note: The size experiment wasnt satisfying. Ill have to make other short vids with new setups. Ogden Phipps's Dancing Spree, the trailer through the first half-mile, closed with a rush for a two-length victory yesterday in the $228800 Carter Handicap for 3-year-olds and up at Aqueduct. Dancing Pretense was second in the seven-horse field, a neck ahead of Sewickley. Mr. Nickerson and Dr. Carrington dueled for command through the first half, setting fast fractions of 21 2/5 and 43 4/5. Black Tie Affair, Mr. Nickerson, Once Wild and Dr. Carrington followed the first three to the wire. Dancing Spree, with Chris Antley up, covered the seven furlongs in 1:22 and earned $137280.
