Saratoga All Access: Hall of Fame jockey Ron Turcotte autograph session [03:52]
The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today welcomed the famed rider of 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat to Saratoga Race Course for an exclusive autograph session for racing fans. Various memorabilia was available for Turcotte to sign, including the first print to showcase the newly adjusted and corrected Triple Crown times. Autographs were available for $20 with all proceeds to benefit The Secretariat Foundation, which provides grant funding to thoroughbred retirement programs as well as the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund. Turcotte was also on-track on Saturday, August 11, when NYRA named the day's fourth race in honor of The Secretariat Foundation.

Thanks to Ron Turcotte's masterpiece ride here, we truly get to see the greatness of SECRETARIAT! Mr. Turcotte knew he was sitting on a powerhouse, he knew the horses on the lead were trying to slow the pace around the first turn, he knew that Big Red was also well within himself as the horse was telling him, "Let's roll!" Mr. Turcotte eased SECRETARIAT to the outside and the rest is history. 1973 Preakness in record time with a hand ride and making a move around the first turn. Greatness!!!
