Newmarket Horse Racing + Jockey Club Rooms Experience - Templeton Events [03:20]
RACING AT NEWMARKET There has been horse racing at Newmarket since King Charles the Second established a summer court in the town, which has since become the headquarters of English racing, used as a base by many of the top trainers. The course itself is one of the most picturesque in the land, and the entertainment facilities are modern and well-appointed. Executive Boxes Our Executive Boxes with viewing balconies are located on the top level of the Rowley Mile's Millennium Grandstand and offer the most stunning views of the racecourse, the surrounding areas and the racing action. The Executives Boxes are superb, fully-equipped private hospitality suites designed for luxurious entertaining. The boxes can comfortably accommodate between 8 and 40 people for formal or buffet style dining. Larger parties can book multiple boxes. The Key to Training Success - Patience, Consistency, Kindness [01:41]
Spring 2012 (First year off the track) 5yo off the track Quarter Horse to be used for barrel racing and dressage. Had an issue of head tossing at the start of his training. This issue was fixed with NO equipment changes, NO rough training methods or harsh bits/equipment (was being ridden in a Myler snaffle), NO trank or other types of supplements used to "calm" a horse (ie - equine chill) and NO professional riding/training (only riding done by myself without professional instruction). FYI - this issue was fixed within about a month, maybe less. The tools used to fix this issue were: PATIENCE - getting frustrated causes tension in the rider which transfers to the horse making it impossible for him to relax into the contact and become supple and engaged. Also, losing patience and yanking the rein when soft, consistent contact doesn't seem to be creating results is counterproductive and could irritate the horse or (on a more sensitive horse) upset the horse to the point where they do not trust you enough to work for you. CONSISTENCY - In order for an issue like this to be resolved on a young horse, the rider must always be giving the same message as to not confuse the horse. Every time the head is tossed, contact is held and leg pressure is increased to push the horse into the contact. When he softens and brings his head down he is rewarded - a "good boy" and a pat on the neck with a slight decrease in rein contact tells him he did something right. If this is done the same ...

Aint She A Saint - Frances Slocum Stakes (Hoosier Park) [03:40]
AINT SHE A SAINT was allowed to settle in the early going behind the early leaders, rallied while saved ground on the far turn, moved out to be two wide at the top of the stretch then took command and drew off in late stretch. YEARDLEY vied for the lead while inside, was in a long drive then weakened in late stretch but held the place safe in the end. DREAMIN BIG chased the pace the pace while racing three wide, made a strong bid on the far turn to mid stretch but was clearly best of the rest in the end. CJ'S BRAHMS was unhurried early then rallied on the far turn, swung out to be seven wide for the stretch drive and passed tiring rivals in late stretch. LILLEANDRA vied for the lead while two wide, was in a long drive then weakened in the stretch drive. WAVE LAND MABEE was unhurried early and passed tiring rivals in the stretch. ESKIMO'S BEST was allowed to settled then failed to respond. SWEETONRICH was unhurried early and failed to menace. SLIM SHADY'S LADY was well placed while racing five wide on the backstretch, then made a bid on the far turn and faltered in the drive. SAINT D'AROAK was unhurried early while racing four wide on the backstretch then was no menace. DR MEGANN vied for the lead while three wide on the backstretch, was used up then stopped. LINDA'S LACE vied for the early lead while four wide, was hard used then stopped.

Sr. Champ Onboard 10/21/12 - Pomfret / Heat Race [03:37]
Onboard footage of the Sr. Champ Heat Race from Pomfret Speedway in Connecticut. Today is the Fright Fest. I started 3rd for the Heat Race and was able to move into 2nd past Josh, the President of the Tri-State Kart Club, in the #29 kart and literally stay glued to Brandon's bumper on the #62 kart. After a few laps, the kart got tight and I started to slow down. I lost 2nd to Glen, who normally drives the #4 kart, in the #15x kart and in the end I finishd 3rd. The track was like a cheese grater. The yellow letter Vega tires I had on, were used up pretty good. There was a lot of rubber build-up on the inside of the tire. The cause of me getting tight could have been from the rubber build-up. I would start 6th for the Feature Race later on, since we were split into two groups. I raced in the second group.
