I am riding my new trainer's horse since Boomer is out for the season due to his hock injury...I came home with reserved high point (: didnt think i was going to get anything this show.. Riders: Kayla on Dont Blink ( me on the bay horse) Rachel on Chevelle (the dun horse) Allison on River (the paint horse) Times: Me on Dont Blink: Single Stake: 10.975 (1st place) Poles 1: 11.580 + 4 (3rd place) Birangle: 17.281 (3rd place) Speed Barrels: 11.481 (2nd place) Barrels: 21.890 + 2 (7th place) 2nd place overall Alllson on River: Single Stake: 11.480 (4th place) Poles 1: 15.965 (4th place) Birangle: 18.603 (5th place) Speed Barrels: 12.156 (4th place) Barrels: 22.099 (5th place) 5th overall! I commandeer a young lad into being my video cameramen so I can use my canon. I think he did a good job! Tremendously exciting to be up close and in the middle of this confusing Country cross Country steeplechase in torrential wind and rain - imagine what it's like - those wet leather saddles and reins and thin silks and freezing driving rain, mud and steam filled goggles and huge fences!!! Lacdoudal the winner is the grey horse. Watch how they have to jump; land and take off again. Takes an intelligent horse
