A bottleof champagne; two large glasses of ornage to make buck's fizz; seafood tapas with breads for 3 people all for £54; lovely live music and overlooking the paddock! I could indulge having backed Posh Emily each way at 14/1 (3rd) and Russian Flag to win at 8/1 (won) but my former colleague at the Royal Geographical Society Kathryn hadn't yet had a bet. She was a first time racegoer and inspired by my succesas a tipster so far decided to have a good bet on Dan Breen. Somehow; we thought he was just a sexy horse whn he entered the Parade ring...

Thought this was a great idea as though I can tell the general aura abot a horse in the Paddock I am not au fait with the specific ways of telling if a horse is fit. This would be a good idea to introduce at other courses imho !
