Zaatakował w połowie prostej prowadzącego, bitego faworyta Zejmana. Zażarta walka trwała do ostatnich metrów. Na monitorze wyglądało, że Saracen był minimalnie lepszy. Niestety, obraz z kamery ustawionej z boku nie oddaje rzeczywistości w 100 procentach. Sędzia na celowniku na podstawie zdjęcia z fotokomórki orzekł, że konie wpadły na celownik łeb w łeb. Jako trzeci dociągnął Picolo, który prowadził w dystansie, czwarty był Amis, a Arbiter i Pekin wpadły na celownik łeb w łeb. Galopujący „w ręku" Barq, na prostej sprawiał nieco problemów dosiadającemu go Aleksandrowi Reznikovowi, ale przecisnął się miedzy rywalami i łatwo zwyciężył. Na drugie miejsce pewnie polem finiszowała Valerie, a trzecie miejsce przypadło Prado, Czwartą lokatę prowadzącemu w dystansie Om Namaste odebrał Bont. Trenerem Barqa jest Mieczysław Mełnicki, dla którego było to czwarte zwycięstwo w tym sezonie.
