The 2012 Carnival Friday Racing is in full effect highlighted by 5 classic races. First up is the Miriam Georges, where Aircraft Intercept, winner of 3 straight takes on the newly transplanted Formal King and 2 hunters from the big island (St. Croix), Brave Reward and Bruno's Burst in a 6 furlong test. Next up is the annual "Ricky" Ashby for all the top sprinters in the VI. Reigning champ Really Uptown (BVI) takes on hard charging fellow countryman Broken Home (BVI) and 2 newcomers. Then the top Girls in the VI go at it in the Administrators Cup where Moments Away will try to hold off Rasta Queen (STX) , the new girl on the block Goodeveningofficer and bitter rival Glorious Memory (BVI) from taking the crown. Another rivalry continues in the Albert Benjamin Classic when this time Puertorican Emblem invades to take on Rick City's Sweet Sight but Voice of Faith and big islander Expect Smoke (STX) may have something to say about the outcome. Last but not least is the "Big One", the one we all want to see, the 2012 Governor's Cup. St Thomas' Bud White seeks to avenge his loss to East End Tap (BVI) in the third leg of the VI Triple Crown back in March, but it's not that easy with heavy hitters like Diablo's Fire (STT), Berberis (STX) and defending champ Good Prospecting (BVI) in the mix. Eight-year-old Affirmed Success took a stalker's pose and the inside track against the expected strong pace Saturday afternoon, then took control for good in the lane as he held on for a one-length victory over late-running Voodoo in the 102nd running of the Grade 1, $350000 Carter Handicap for three-year-olds and up -- the undercard feature of Wood Memorial Day at Aqueduct. Owned by Albert Fried Jr., the gelded son of 1978 Triple Crown winner Affirmed broke sharp from the far outside in post 10 under jockey Richard Migliore, then angled to the rail to stalk Rusty Spur, favored Snow Ridge and Here's Zealous through fractions of :21 4/5; :43 2/5 and 1:08 before taking the lead for good and notching the 15th win of his 36-race career in 1:21 4/5. A $2 win ticket on Affirmed Success returned $11.40. "He's never looked better in his life," said winning trainer Richard Schosberg. "He's eight and he's always loved running. We wanted to be inside of Here's Zealous today because that horse got out a little when we ran against him at Laurel (General George, February 18th). Richie (Migliore) rode a great race; he moved at just the right time. This horse is just amazing."

the pesky papparazzi badger "I'll Have Another" the horse that won the thoroughbred horse races the Kentucky derby and the Preakness stakes 2012 (before the horse was drunk off his ass). proclaiming his excellence and promising a Triple Crown Victory and a million offspring. wants to bang Black Beauty, disses Seabiscuit, claims all other horses are glue or dog food. can this horse be stopped? a horse this outspoken and flambouyant will down in infamy as the Muhhamed Ali of horse racing, the Chuck Norris of the stables, a god amongst horses. A mordern day Mike Tyson of horseracing, total domination and the smack talking to boot. Don King was turned down as the horses manager saying he is "too low key" for us. Say hello to Little John Paddocks latest edition; Lottie! [01:30]
Hehe, yep this is the big surprise. Say hello to Lottie everyone! She arrived on Staurday 21st April and is the second foal to be born at Little John Paddocks. Lottie's dam, Freckles (the grey mare) was bought to be a new riding horse at LJP. And, it wasn't until a couple weeks after that she was discovered to have been pregnant! Already she'd been used in lessons and taken out on hacks! Although, this hasn't effected Lottie in the slightest. Freckles is a very proud mummy and Lottie is a very lucky filly! :D After having discovered Freckles to be pregnant, Sue (the stable owner) rang up the previous owners to complain. They previous owners of Freckles claimed to have not known about the mare's pregnancy at all. But, come on, how could you not know?! You wouldn't put a mare in the same field near a stallion would you? Unless you wanted a foal of course. We currently do not know what Lottie's sire looked like so it was a mystery on what colour she'd be when she came out. This event can relate to a previous happening back in 2010 with the piebald mare, Bailey. Bailey was discovered to have been pregnant a couple weeks at being at LJP. I just want to get some things straight: at Little John Paddocks there are only mares and geldings. NO STALLIONS! So its impossible for one of our horses to breed, OK? Good. Anyway, Bailey gave birth to a piebald colt named Beaumont (Beau for short) mid 2011 and was sold to a loving home where he'll be looked after for his whole life. The ...

Kentucky Derby 2012 [02:18]
I wanted Bodiemeister to win, because he was the best looking horse trained by Bob Bafford this year. He was doing well, but I was concerned because it's always the come-from-behinders that win, and he was out front very early. Please excuse my profanity near the end!
