Wholelottashakin @ The Spa 8 17 12 [02:10]
Joel broke beautifully, had her in good position all the way around the track, made "the move" just right and I thought we had it. Low and behold the inside horse comes outside and kicks by at the last second. This race will do her good and get her ready for her next start. She is now back running and running well, so let's see if we can keep the momentum going! I saw the head on replay and it looked like she was very relaxed and doing everything right. This filly is very professional and will certainly get this condition and move up from here. Close but no cigar! That's OK, we've got a nice turf filly!

Wholelottashakin ROCKS the 9th race on May 27th @ Belmont [08:03]
Wholelottashakin WON the 9th race on Sunday, May 27th at Beautiful Belmont Park. She broke sharp from the 5 hole with Javier, he put her in good position until about the 5/8ths pole where she almost ran up the leader's you know what... Javier had to jerk her head to get her to the outside - any other horse would have packed it in right there but she continued in stride. Javier saved ground behind the leaders, the favorite went wide and he went for the hole on the rail and the rest my friends, as they say, is history. She flew down the stretch and held off a repeated challenge from the fancy 4yo and prevailed under strong urging. She loves a little give in the ground and I think she likes the mile distance. Congratulations to all ~ certainly a nice way to celebrate the Holiday weekend!

Wholelottashakin 2nd - The Sweetest Chant, GSP 1.22.12 [04:28]
Wholelottashakin ran a very gritty 2nd in the $100000 Sweetest Chant Stake at Gulfstream Park yesterday, Sunday, the 22nd of January. She broke well this time and was in good position early. She was nicely relaxed and unhurried going down the backstretch, a very good sign as it shows maturity in just her 4th start. Alex 'The Great' had her tucked in on the rail and saved ground all the way. At the ½ mile pole she started to get in gear and took the inside route. At the top of the stretch she kicked into gear and closed on the rest of the field but the favorite came at us from the outside with loads of forward momentum. Although Shakin matched strides at the onset of the duel, the winner prevailed but not by much. We are very proud of our filly!

Wholelottashakin Belmont WIN 9.21.11.avi [06:00]
Tom Durkin put it best when he said "and it is Wholelottashakin who's got it goin on!" Wholelottashakin WON the 5th race @ Beautiful Belmont Park today! She broke sharp from the outside, was 5 or 6 wide until she got to the stretch, circled the field and drew off to win by 3 1/4 lengths. We had a big group there and everyone was going absolutely crazy! It was so exciting to see this filly win a sprint on the turf when we were looking for a race going long. She galloped out very strong with no one passing her. This sets her up beautifully for her next race. We are so proud of her ~ CONGRATULATIONS to all!
