Heavenisaracehorse puts in what has to be one of the most eye-catching debuts of the season over 1160m. He was slow out the gates and outpaced for most of the race finding himself with some 10 lengths to make up on the leaders heading to the 450m marker. From then on it was jaw-dropping stuff as he ripped through the field to go down only by a whisker to impressive black type performer Mogok's Desire. The rest of the field lay spread-eagled in the distance 4 and 6 lengths+ adrift. Congratulations to international owner Mr. Winston Chow who looks to have found another one here in SA with the ability to go on to greater things.

Grade 1 winners The Apache and Seal fought out a mighty finish in the 6th race at Turffontein on the 20th December 2011 to produce a Team G one-two exacta. The Apache, whose (Equus) champion status was largely ignored by bookmakers offering 7/2 a win earlier on in the day, shortened late to start at 19/10 behind odds-on favourite Link Man who was not disgraced in 3rd spot.
