National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame situated in Saratoga Springs of New York is a fantastic establishment introducing people of all ages to the exciting world of horse racing. The renowned National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in USA was established in 1950 by Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney with the aim of honoring outstanding American thoroughbred racehorses, racehorse trainers and jockeys. The National Museum has set forth a mission stating its goal to interpret and convey the thrill of American thoroughbred racing to a wide audience. Thoroughbred racing is one of the oldest sports in the USA and as such it has a vast, rich history. The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame tells this fascinating story through its fine equine art collection, varied memorabilia, notable silks and glistening trophies. The Official National Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame has been created to recognize and honor horses, trainers and jockeys whose fantastic records and fine reputations have remained through time. Set-up in 1955 the Hall of Fame has become a widely sought after achievement by many top jockeys and trainers. Every spring the new inductees are announced, typically during Kentucky Derby Week.
