Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire is a world renowned horse racing facility which attracts large crowds to its famous races such as the Royal Ascot. Ascot is best known for the internationally famed Royal Ascot race. Attracting vast numbers of patrons to the racecourse, Royal Ascot is a five day meeting, a remarkable sporting and social event. A traditional and stylish occasion, Royal Ascot is known for exquisite race horses, outstanding standard of racing and its pageantry. A number of other fantastic events are held through the year. In summer, racing fans can watch the De Beers Diamond Day with the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes. Many of those who miss Royal Ascot make a point of going to Ascot for the Diamond Day. The Thoroughbred Breeders Day held in September features the Watership Down Stud Sales Race. Complementing the race is a number of other activities such as the Stallion Parade. Jump racing also features on Ascots calendar with some six days of exciting racing between October and December.
Ascot Racecourse offers superior facilities for an amazing race day experience. Amongst the amenities are toilets, first aid, disabled facilities, tote betting, the bookmakers ring, ticket sale points, large screens, a press room, the Royal Enclosure Lodge, various restaurants and Old Paddock Chalets. Families can leave children under the age of seven in the care of the crèche. while the Colts and Fillies Club is dedicated to young racegoers. At certain events Ascot also offers great entertainment such as jugglers, live music and fairground rides.
The gates at Ascot open at 11:00 am with the exception of Royal Ascot days when they open at 10:30 am. All parking is well signposted. Ascot Racecourse truly provides racegoers with a world-class experience, quite easily one of the greatest in the world.
