Hollywood Park Racetrack

Hollywood Park, situated in California's Inglewood just 3 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, is a world-renowned thoroughbred racecourse. Opened on 10 June 1938 by a number of celebrity shareholders, Hollywood Park race track has undergone several improvements through the years, the latest being the new synthetic surface on the track. In addition to the fantastic horse racing at Hollywood Park, visitors can also stop in at the Hollywood Park Casino.

Hollywood Park boasts some of the best horse racing facilities in the United States. Taking in 240 acres of land, Hollywood Park’s main track measures 1 1/8 miles with an additional 7 ½ furlongs chute. The Infield turf course is oval-shaped, measuring 1 mile with a diagonal chute. A training track is also available near the stables and measures a ½ mile. North Park is a grassed area at the end of the grandstand. Here racegoers will find pari-mutuel windows, concession stands and a play area for children. The impressive Toscolor Vision situated at the infield allows visitors full-color coverage of the races. Hollywood Park’s main building includes the grandstand, turf club and clubhouse. The Players’ club has been created for avid horseplayers with simulcast racing, work areas and television screens. Big betters have access to the VIP lounge. In addition to these brilliant facilities racegoers can check out the restaurants, gift shop, salon, Hollywood Park Casino and more. Also of interest is the Swaps Statue, a bronze statue depicting Bill Shoemaker. The Native Diver Monument is in the Garden Paddock and is dedicated to the legendary horse. Hollywood Park race track also has a fantastic stable area with 18 barns holding 1,958 stalls, 216 feed rooms and 619 tack rooms.
