Mohawk Raceway’s 7/8 mile oval features a homestretch of 1,095 feet with a breadth of 85 feet. The racetrack base is crushed limestone with a cushion of traprock. Ten starters can be accommodated behind the gate. Mohawk’s harness racing calendar runs from June through to October with a number of thrilling racing events scheduled. Amongst the most popular races are the Canadian Pacing Derby, Campbellville Trot, Milton Stakes, Harvest Stakes, Metro Pace, Canadian Trotting Classic and Maple Leaf Trot. Races are held 5 nights of the week with dark Wednesdays and Sundays. Post time is typically 7:40 pm. The record for the fastest mile of 1:48.1 at Mohawk Raceway was set by BuckeyeOne.

Ontario’s Mohawk Raceway is every racegoers dream come true. Admission and parking is free of charge and facilities are top-notch. For the convenience of patrons wagering windows are scattered throughout the establishment and there are also self-service terminals. More than enough seating ensures everyone gets plenty of elbow-room. In fact, there is sufficient seating for 5,000 spectators. Mohawk Raceway is open all through the year. With 730 stables and a training center, the area is always abuzz with horses and riders.
